Magnus Gutke - concert guitarist


 
Magnus Gutke is a Swedish classical guitarist educated in both Sweden and France. He has a long experience of teaching, recording and giving concerts.
 
His teachers in Sweden, between 1978-1990, was the guitarist Maestro Gunnar Lif, a student of Eduardo Sainz de la Maza and Emilio Pujol. In Santiago de Compostela, Spain, he took guitar lessons for professor José-Luis Rodrigo. He completed his studies in Paris under the guidance of Maestro Alberto Ponce at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris 1991-1994.
 
Since 1994, he combines teaching the classic guitar with giving concerts, mainly in the Scandinavian countries, but also in the rest of Europe. He has made recordings for the Swedish as well as for the Spanish Radio and TV.
 
In 1997 SonyBMG, former BMG, released Magnus' debut album Touché on the RCA/Victor label.

Cooperation with the Swedish composer Björn J:son Lindh has started the work on a concierto for guitar and orchestra.
